Beck - Key to my Heart

Well hello ladies, how are you?  All set for Christmas?  No?  Well if you're not, you'd best get a wriggle on, there's only 5 sleeps to go!

Today I have some of the lovely Key to my Heart collection to share with you :)  This awesome paper range is a fab combination of various shades of blue, red, pink and peach.  You can put practically ANYTHING with it, and it'll look great.  This time I delved into the archives and scrapped an older photo, one of my Mum with Jacob in the maternity ward a few days after he was born.  It's one of my favourites.

I matted my photo and popped it up on some foam squares, then formed a couple of flower clusters in the top right and bottom left corners, using some Prima flowery goodness and a few leaves from my stash. I used some of the Collectables as a title in the bottom left hand corner, then went mad on the typewriter to do my journalling :)

Journalling:  A Grandmother's love is something quite special, and you, Jacob, are very lucky.  I love this photo of you and Granny, it was taken when you were only a day or so old.  When you were born, you were something special.  The first boy on the Scott side of the family since Grandad Jim's generation, and a boy to carry on the Caithness name for generations to come.  Your Granny did a lot for us when you came along.  Support, advice and love in abundance.  I can't count the number of times that I must have phoned her late at night because you wouldn't settle, or had a strange cough or a rash... and she always came straight round, without hesitation.  Thank you Granny Rose.  Love you x

I have to say that the typewriter I purchased at the last Winchester Swap Meet for $25 was the best buy EVER!

Now, with some of the leftovers I made this card...

Layers of butterflies and leaves on a pennant flag, pretty simple, but very ME!

Well that's it for me until after Christmas.  I hope that wherever you are, and whatever you have planned for Christmas Day, that you have a lovely day with your family and friends.  Make the most of spending precious time with your loved ones, and try not to eat too much pudding! (Trust me, this is advice from one who knows)

Toodles, Beck x

  1. Beautiful layout, LOVE the colours, and the journaling. I must agree with you about the old typewriter, I bought one at a garage sale for $20, works brilliantly.
